Abstract

******** Forests are the body organ of the earth, where a variety of flora, fauna, mineral resources, and other wealth can be taken from forests that are indispensable to human life. However, the use of forest resources massively destroys forests and consequently alters their functioning. The aim of this research is to identify the types of utilization and development of the Dangku Marga Reserve Forest related to community involvement, as well as the implementation of Community Based Forest Management (CBFM) in preserving the Dangku Wildlife Forest. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research show that the implementation of community-based forest management (CBFM) integrates the dimensions of economic benefits, ecological sustainability, and access to resources by applying the principles of communication, resources, structure/bureaucracy, and disposition in forest management. This is not apart from some achievements such as significantly increased use and management of forest products and no negative impact on the environment, as well as achieving the majority of the indicators of the principles of implementation of CBFM, although there are some things that need to be improved
