Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak pembuangan limbah organik Pasar Kramat Jati terhadap kualitas kesehatan siswa SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, angket, observasi dan dokumentasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta yang berjumlah 125 orang dan jumlah sampel yang digunakan 125 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) Pembuangan limbah organik memiliki dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan, dampak utama nya menyebabkan siswa mudah terkena hipertensi dikarenakan siswa menjadi mudah marah akibat bau yang ditimbulkan dari limbah organik berdasarkan hasil penelitian 85% responden mengalami permasalahan tersebut. Selain menyebabkan siswa rentan terkena hipertensi dampak lainnya siswa pernah mengalami ISPA 67% responden menyatakan terkena gangguan ISPA, Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut diambil kesimpulan bahwa dampak yang ditimbulkan dari limbah organik sangat berbahaya terhadap kesehatan para siswa, terutama gangguan terhadap pernapasan mereka. Kata Kunci : Limbah Organik, Kesehatan, Siswa SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta This study aims to describe the impact of Kramat Jati Market organic waste disposal on the health quality of SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta students. The research method used is descriptive method, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. The population in this study were 125 students of SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta and the number of samples used was 125 people. The results of this study concluded that: 1) Organic waste disposal has a negative impact on health, the main impact causes students to be susceptible to hypertension because students become irritable due to the odor caused by organic waste based on the results of the study 85% of respondents experienced this problem. In addition to causing students to be susceptible to hypertension, another impact is that students have experienced ARI 67% of respondents stated that they were affected by ARI disorders, Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the impact caused by organic waste is very dangerous to the health of students, especially disruption to their breathing.
