Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang instrumen uji untuk menilai kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah sistem multimedia. Instrumen uji kognitif yang baik harus memastikan validitas, reliabilitas, daya beda soal yang cukup, dan relevan dengan kurikulum sistem multimedia. Butir soal harus menantang namun bisa dijawab oleh mayoritas responden, serta memiliki petunjuk penggunaan yang jelas untuk evaluasi yang efektif. Dalam pembuatan instrumen uji tersebut digunakan metode pengembangan 4D dari S. Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, dan Melvyn I. Semmel. Metode pengembangan 4D meliputi define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen yang telah dibuat menghasilkan 27 butir soal valid dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,267 yang tergolong “lemah” dan mendapatkan nilai daya beda sebesar 0,1 yang berada pada kategori “buruk” dan nilai tingkat kesukaran sebesar 0,687 yang berada pada kategori “sedang”. Sedangkan hasil dari kemampuan kognitif responden sebesar 69% yang berada pada kategori ”baik”. State University of Jakarta. 2024. This research aims to design a test instrument to assess students' cognitive abilities in multimedia systems courses. A good cognitive test instrument must ensure validity, reliability, sufficient question discrimination, and be relevant to the multimedia system curriculum. Items must be challenging but can be answered by the majority of respondents, and have clear instructions for use for effective evaluation. In making the test instrument, the 4D development method from S. Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel was used. The 4D development method includes define, design, develop and disseminate. From the research results it can be concluded that the instrument that has been created produces 27 valid questions with a reliability value of 0.267 which is classified as "weak" and gets The difference power value is 0.1 which is in the "bad" category and the difficulty level value is 0.687 which is in the "medium" category. Meanwhile, the results of the respondents' cognitive abilities were 69% in the "good" category.
