Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan PMRI terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment dengan desain posttest-only control group design. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Sampel yang terpilih pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.D sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Nurul Iman Jakarta Timur. Pengukuran kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menggunakan instrumen tes berupa lima soal uraian pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t¬ dengan taraf signifikansi α=0,05, didapatkan bahwa nilai t_hitung=2,40 dan t_tabel=0,063 sehingga t_hitung>t_tabel, yang berarti sudah cukup bukti untuk menolak H_0. Dengan demikian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan PMRI terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Nilai besar pengaruh dihitung melalui Cohen’s effect size yaitu sebesar 0,6 dan termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan persentase 73%. ***** This study aims to determine the influence of project-based learning models with realistic mathematical approaches on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research method uses a quasi experiment with a posttest-only control group design. Sampling in this study uses a cluster random sampling. The sample selected in this study is students of class VIII.A as an experimental class and class VIII.D as a control class at Nurul Iman Junior High School, East Jakarta. The measurement of students' mathematical problem-solving ability uses a test instrument in the form of five descriptive questions on the material of the two-variable linear equation system that has been declared valid and reliable. The results of hypothesis testing using a t-test with a significance level of α=0.05, it was found that the values of t_value.=2.40 and t_table=0.063 so that ,t_value > t_table, which means that there is enough evidence to reject H_0. Thus, the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in the experimental class is higher than that of the control class. These results show that there is an influence of a project-based learning model with a realistic mathematical approach on students' mathematical problem-solving skills. The value of the influence was calculated through Cohen's effect size, which was 0.6 and was included in the medium category with a percentage of 73%.
