Abstract

Abstrak, Sampah merupakan suatu bahan yang terbuang atau dibuang yang bersumber dari aktivitas manusia maupun yang memiliki nilai ekonomi terutama sampah plastik. Plastik sangat diminati karena ringan, fleksibel, tahan air, praktis, dan relatif murah dibandingkan bahan kemasan lainnya. Tujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Ukuran Mesh Serpihan Sampah Plastik Daur Ulang Terhadap Pengujian Tarik. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan studi dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Hasil Penelitian didapat perbandingan beban yang dihasilkan setiap spesimen yang berbeda variasi mesh/ cacahan dimana diperoleh nilai beban untuk mesh /cacahan ukuran 2 x 2 mm dalam tiga kali percobaan memiliki nilai beban maksimal rata-rata 1747,3 N sedangkan untuk pada ukuran mesh/cacahan 4 x 4 mm diperoleh beban maksimal rata-rata 1655,3 N atau ada penurunan nilai beban maksimal. Pada spesimen yang ukuran 6 x 6 mengalami peningkatan dan didapatkan nilai rata-rata 1626,7 dan pada spesimen yang ukuran 8 x 8 mengalami penuruan dengan nilai rata-rata 1590,2 N. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini dapatkan semakin kecil ukuran mesh semakin tinggi kekuatan tarikannya. Kekutan paling tinggi pada mesh ukuran 2x2 dengan nilai rata – rata 19,421 Mpa dan Modulus116,439 Mpa Kata Kunci: Mesh, Plastik, Sampah, Uji Tarik ***** Abstract, Waste is discarded or discarded material that originates from human activities and has economic value, especially plastic waste. Plastic is in great demand because it is light, flexible, waterproof, practical and relatively cheap compared to other packaging materials. The aim is to determine the effect of mesh size of recycled plastic waste on tensile testing. This research method uses a study with an experimental approach. The research results showed a comparison of the load produced by each specimen from different variations of mesh/chop, where the load value obtained for mesh/chop measuring 2 x 2 mm in three trials had an average maximum load value of 1747.3 N, while for the mesh/chop size 4 x 4 mm obtained an average maximum load of 1655.3 N or there was a decrease in the maximum load value. In specimens measuring 6 x 6 there was an increase and obtained an average value of 1658.7 and in specimens measuring 8 x 8 it decreased with an average value of 1590.2 N. The conclusion from this research is that the smaller the mesh size the higher the strength. the pull. The highest strength is in a 2x2 mesh with an average value of 2.2 Mpa and a modulus of 116.439 Mpa Keywords: Mesh, Plastic, Tensile Test, Waste.
