Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi perbedaan dalam pengambilan keputusan antara suku Jawa (N= 133) dan suku Batak (N=133). Instrumen General Discussion Making Style (Bruce & Scott, 1995) sebagai alat ukur. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan budaya yang signifikan dalam gaya pengambilan keputusan antara kelompok Jawa dan Batak, khususnya dalam dimensi pengambilan keputusan avoidance dan spontaneous. Namun, tidak ditemukan perbedaan signifikan dalam gaya pengambilan keputusan terkait dimensi dependent, intuitive, dan rasional. ***** This study aims to explore the differences in decision-making between the Javanese tribe (N= 133) and the Batak tribe (N=133). The General Discussion Making Style instrument (Bruce & Scott, 1995) as a measuring tool. The results of the normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed, so the hypothesis test used the Mann-Whitney U test. However, no significant differences were found in decision-making styles related to the dependent, intuitive, and rational dimensions.
