Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan Marital Horizon dimensi kepentingan pernikahan dan dimensi kriteria kesiapan menikah pada emerging adulthood. Responden pada penelitian berjumlah 416 yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, dengan kriteria emerging adulthood berusia 18-29 tahun, belum menikah, orang tua dalam status menikah, dan berdomisili di Pulau Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Marital Horizon Questionnaire dan The McMaster Family Assessment Device–General Functioning Subscale GF12 (FAD-GF). Data tidak terdistribusi secara normal, sehingga analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik Spearman Rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan marital horizon dimensi kepentingan menikah sebesar rxy= - 0,145 dengan p= 0,003 (p<0,05). Selain itu, tidak terdapat korelasi antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan marital horizon dimensi kriteria kesiapan menikah p=0,127 (p>0,05) dan rxy= -0,075. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat keberfungsian keluarga maka semakin rendah minat seseorang untuk menikah dalam waktu dekat. Meskipun tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat keberfungsian keluarga dengan kriteria kesiapan seseorang untuk menikah, tetapi responden menetapkan standar yang tinggi pada kriteria kesiapan menikah mereka. Oleh sebab itu, emerging adulthood dapat mengevaluasi diri sendiri secara berkala agar bisa menetapkan tujuan yang sehat dalam membangun pernikahan atau keluarga yang bahagia untuk kedepannya. The respondents in the study consist of 416 respondents which were selected by using purposive sampling technique, with the criteria of emerging adulthood aged 18-29 years, unmarried, parents in married status, and domiciled in Java Island. The instruments used in this study were the Marital Horizon Questionnaire and The McMaster Family Assessment Device-General Functioning Subscale GF12 (FAD-GF). Since the data is not normally distributed, then the data analysis used is the Spearman Rank technique. The results showed that there is significant negative correlation between family functioning and marital horizon dimension of importance of marriage at rxy = - 0.145 with p = 0.003 (p < 0.05). Also, there is no correlation between family functioning and marital horizon dimension of marriage readiness criteria p=0.127 (p>0.05) and rxy= -0.075. The conclusion is that the higher the level of family functioning, the lower one's interest in getting married in the near future. However, while there is no relationship between the level of family functioning and one's readiness criteria for marriage, respondents set high standards for their readiness criteria for marriage. As a result, emerging adulthood should periodically evaluate itself to establish healthy goals in building a happy marriage or family in the future.
