Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengurangan tantangan sanitasi di Indonesia dengan meningkatkan fasilitas toilet umum. Survei menunjukkan bahwa masalah kebersihan, bau, dan kelangkaan air adalah alasan utama orang menghindari toilet umum, diperburuk oleh kurangnya tisu dan sabun. Peneliti mengembangkan prototipe mesin penjual otomatis tisu basah menggunakan mikrokontroler NodeMCU ESP32, layar LCD TFT ILI9488, sistem pembayaran RFID, dan konveyor sabuk yang digerakkan motor DC. Data transaksi disimpan dalam format CSV pada kartu microSD. Pengujian menunjukkan tingkat keberhasilan 100% pada satu kali uji, dan 98% pada 30 kali uji karena dua kesalahan pelepasan tisu akibat waktu motor DC yang kurang akurat dan satu kesalahan penyimpanan data transaksi karena penempelan kartu RFID yang terlalu cepat. Penelitian ini diharapkan meningkatkan ketersediaan tisu basah, menyediakan alternatif kebersihan, dan mempromosikan praktik kebersihan yang lebih baik di masyarakat perkotaan.***** This research focuses on reducing sanitation challenges in Indonesia by improving public toilet facilities. Surveys indicate that hygiene issues, odors, and water scarcity are the main reasons people avoid public toilets, exacerbated by the lack of tissue and soap. Researchers developed a prototype vending machine for wet wipes using the NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller, ILI9488 TFT LCD screen, RFID payment system, and a belt conveyor driven by a DC motor. Transaction data is stored in CSV format on a microSD card. Testing showed a 100% success rate in single tests, and a 98% success rate in 30 tests due to two dispensing errors from inaccurate DC motor timing and one transaction data storage error due to the RFID card being tapped too quickly. This research aims to increase the availability of wet wipes, provide a cleanliness alternative, and promote better hygiene practices in urban communities.
