Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Burgerkill: Perintis musik Underground bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan karir musik Band Burgerkill dari tahun 1995-2006 dan juga peranannya dalam Skena musik underground. Perkembangan musik Underground di Ujungberung dimulai dari tahun 1989 beberapa Band yang berdiri antara lain Funeral, Ortodhox, Necromancy. Burgerkill sendiri berdiri pada tahun 1995 dimana merupakan nama plesetan dari restoran cepat saji “Burger king“ pada awal mula nya Band ini adalah Band Side Project dari para personil nya pada saat itu Ivan scumbag masih di Infamy, Kimung masih di Naked Truth dan Eben di Morning Crew, lambat laun para personil merasa sejalan dan memutuskan serius berkarir di band ini dimana Burgerkill mulai serius menulis lagu semisal Revolt yang masuk dalam kompilasi “masayangindahbangetsekalipisan”, dalam perjalanan karirnya Burgerkill menjalani banyak pasang surut agar bisa tetap eksis di belantika musik indonesia, dan pada akirnya Burgerkill membuktikan diri sebagai Band yang patut diperhitungkan setelah album kedua Burgerkill berjudul Berkarat mendapat penghargaan di AMI Awards pada 2004. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Studi pustaka dengan menggunakan Sumber Sekunder seperti Buku maupun jurnal yang berkaitan dengan Band Burgerkill. Sumber data diperoleh dari dokumen-dokumen di Perpustakaan Nasional Indonesia (PNRI), Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia (UI), dan Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa perjalanan karir Band Burgerkill dari awal berdiri hingga sukses di belantika musik tanah air tidaklah mudah. Banyak faktor yang membuat Burgerkill bisa sukses di industri musik Indonesia hingga mendapat penghargaan musik bergengsi.Kata Kunci: Burgerkill, Underground, Skena, Ujungberung.ABSTRACT Research about the Burgerkill: Pioneering Underground music aims to determine how the development of the music career of the Band Burgerkill from years 1995-2006, and also its role in the music Scene underground. The development of Underground music in Ujungberung starting from 1989 a few Bands that stand like Funeral, Ortodhox, Necromancy. Burgerkill it self was established in the year 1995 which is the name a play on the fast food restaurant “Burger king“ at the beginning of his Band, this is the Band a Side Project of his personnel at the time example Ivan scumbag is still in Infamy, Kimung still in the Naked Truth and Eben in the Morning Crew, slowly the personnel feel in line and decide on a serious career in the band where Burgerkill began to seriously write songs such as the Revolt entered in the compilation “masayangindahbangetsekalipisan”, in the course of his career Burgerkill have a lot of ups and downs that can still exist in the music scene of indonesia, and on finally Burgerkill prove themselves as a Band to be reckoned after the second album Burgerkill titled Berkarat got award in AMI Awards in 2004. This study used literature Study method with the use of Secondary Sources such as Books and journals that related to the Band Burgerkill. Source data obtained from the documents in The National Library of Indonesia (PNRI), The Library of the University of Indonesia (UI), and the Library of the State University of Jakarta (UNJ). The results of this study prove that the Burgerkill Band's career from its inception to success in the music scene is not easy. Many factors that make Burgerkill can be successful in the music industry of indonesia and get a prestigious music award.Keywords: Burgerkill, Underground, Scene, Ujungberung.
