Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap kesehatan mental dosen muda. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Convenience sampling. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 118 dosen muda di seluruh Indonesia yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara online dan offline kuesioner berisi instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (1988) yang dikembangkan oleh Zimet dan Mental Health Inventory (1983) yang dikembangkan oleh Veit and Ware. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi dukungan sosial berpengaruh positif terhadap kesehatan mental pada dosen muda, akibatnya jika dosen muda dapat merasakan dukungan sosial yang ia terima maka kesehatan mental dosen muda akan terjaga dengan baik. ABSTRACT This study aimsto determine the effect of perceived social support on the mental health of young lecturers. The sampling technique used in this study was Convenience sampling. The research subjects consisted of 118 young lecturers throughout Indonesia who met the research criteria. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires online and offline questionnaires containing research instruments used, namely The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (1988) developed by Zimet and the Mental Health Inventory (1983) developed by Veit and Ware. Data analysis in this study used simple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that perceived social support has a positive effect on mental health in young lecturers, as a result if young lecturers can feel the social support they receive, the mental health of young lecturers will be well maintained.
