Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh peer attachment dan future time perspective terhadap voting behavior mahasiswa pemilih pemula di Jakarta pada Pemilihan Umum Presiden Indonesia Tahun 2024. Fokus utama penelitian adalah menganalisis bagaimana faktor-faktor sosial-psikologis ini mempengaruhi perilaku pemilih muda dalam konteks pemilihan presiden. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengambilan data melalui kuesioner. Alat ukur yang digunakan meliputi Socio-Psychological Voting Behavior Scale, Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment, dan Carstensen-Lang Future Time Perspective Scale. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 212 mahasiswa pemilih pemula di Kota Jakarta yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda dengan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian dapat diterima, menyatakan bahwa peer attachment dan future time perspective mempengaruhi voting behavior pada mahasiswa pemilih pemula di Jakarta dalam pemilihan umum presiden tahun 2024. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku pemilih muda dan berkontribusi pada pemahaman dinamika pemilihan umum di kalangan pemilih pemula. Kata kunci : Peer Attachment, Future Time Perspective, Voting Behavior, Pemiih Pemula **** This study aims to determine the influence of peer attachment and future time perspective on the voting behavior of first-time student voters in Jakarta during the 2024 Presidential Election of Indonesia. The research focuses on analyzing how these socio-psychological factors affect young voters' behavior in the context of the presidential election. The study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing questionnaires for data collection. Measurement tools include the Socio-Psychological Voting Behavior Scale, Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment, and Carstensen-Lang Future Time Perspective Scale. The sample consists of 212 first-time student voters in Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 25. Results indicate that the research hypothesis is accepted, demonstrating that peer attachment and future time perspective influence the voting behavior of first-time student voters in Jakarta during the 2024 Presidential Election. These findings provide important insights into factors affecting young voters' behavior and contribute to a better understanding of electoral dynamics among first-time voters.
