Abstract
Telah dilakukan analisis pengaruh penambahan material karbon aktif arang tempurung kelapa dan arang sekam padi pada keramik berpori dengan variasi komposisi yang berbeda disetiap sampelnya. Sampel disintering pada temperatur 700℃ selama 1 jam. Sampel dianalisis morfologinya menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Selanjutnya sampel dianalisis hasil nilai pengukuran densitasnya dan hasil uji daya serap. Dari data hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai uji densitas sebesar 2,063-2,166 g/cm3, nilai uji daya serap sebesar 31,71-35,84%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan konsentrasi karbon aktif arang kelapa dapat menaikkan nilai densitas, menurunkan nilai daya serap dari material. Sedangkan penambahan arang sekam padi dapat menurunkan nilai densitas dan menaikkan nilai daya serap. Kata kunci: Keramik berpori, Karbon aktif, Arang sekam padi, Densitas, Daya serap. ************ An analysis of the effect of the addition of coconut shell charcoal and rice husk charcoal activated carbon materials on porous ceramics with different composition variations in each sample has been carried out. The samples was sintered at 700℃ for 1 hour. The samples were analyzed for morphology using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The samples were then analyzed for their density measurement values and absorbency test results. From the data results, the density test value was 2.063-2.166 g/cm3, the absorption test value was 31.71-35.84%. It can be concluded that the addition of coconut charcoal activated carbon concentration can increase the density value, reducing the absorption value of the material. The addition of rice husk charcoal can reduce the density value and increase the absorption value. Keywords: Porous ceramic, Activated carbon, Charcoal rice husk, Density, Absorbency.
