Abstract
Lanthanum Orthoferrite (LaFeO3) adalah salah satu material perovskite oxide ABX3 yang memiliki struktur orthorhombic. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan sintesis substitusi atom Zinc pada site-Fe material perovskite LaFeO3 LaFe1-xZnxO3 dengan x = 0.0 dan 0.1) menggunakan metode sol-gel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat struktur kristal, morfologi, dan listrik yang dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, XRF, SEM-EDX dan EIS. Proses sintesis material menghasilkan sampel bentuk powder (bubuk) dan bulk (pellet). Hasil analisis XRD untuk material LaFe1-xZnxO3 menunjukkan material memiliki struktur orthorhombic dengan space group Pnma. Dari hasil Rietvield menunjukkan bahwa parameter kisi, volume, densitas serta parameter geometrikal material mengalami perubahan setelah adanya substitusi Zinc. Hasil XRF dan EDX mengkonfirmasi bahwa adanya unsur La, Fe, Zn dan O pada material perovskite LaFe1-xZnxO3. Hasil uji SEM menunjukkan bahwa morfologi sampel terjadi aglomerasi seiring dengan substitusi Zinc. Sifat listrik material diuji menggunakan Zahner Zennium Pro dengan metode Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) pada rentang 5.5 MHz – 10 Hz, hasil karakterisasi disajikan dalam grafik nyquist plot dan bode plot, menunjukkan diameter semi-sirkular dan mengindikasikan material ini mengalami peningkatan nilai konstanta dielektrik seiring dengan bertambahnya Zinc. Lanthanum Orthoferrite (LaFeO3) is a perovskite oxide ABX3 material which has an orthorhombic structure. In this research, a substitution synthesis of Zinc atoms has been carried out on the Fe-site of the perovskite material LaFeO3 LaFe1-xZnxO3 with x = 0.0 and 0.1) using the sol-gel method. This research aims to determine the crystal structure, morphology and electrical properties which are characterized using XRD, XRF, SEM-EDX and EIS. The material synthesis process produces samples in powder and bulk form. The results of XRD analysis for the LaFe1-xZnxO3 material show that the material has an orthorhombic structure with the space group Pnma. Rietvield's results show that the lattice parameters, volume, density and geometric parameters of the material change after Zinc substitution. The XRF and EDX results confirm that there are the elements La, Fe, Zn and O in the perovskite material LaFe1-xZnxO3. The SEM test results show that the morphology of the samples agglomerates along with Zinc substitution. The electrical properties of the material were tested using Zahner Zennium Pro with the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) method in the range 5.5 MHz – 10 Hz. The characterization results are presented in Nyquist plot and Bode plot graphs, showing the semi-circular diameter and indicating that this material experiences an increase in dielectric constant value as time goes by. with the addition of Zinc.
