Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan aspek penting yang harus dikuasai siswa, namun teori kinetik gas sering kali sulit dipahami sehingga menyebabkan berbagai kesalahan seperti kesalahan konsep. penggunaan Common Knowledge Construction Model (CKCM) yang melibatkan kolaborasi dan diskusi kelompok dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir ilmiah dan kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa yang berdampak pada pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh Common Knowledge Construction Model terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi teori kinetik gas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif quasi eksperimen. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen pretest dan posttest berupa pilihan ganda. Setelah diuji menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, didapatkan hasil nilai p-value yang diperoleh sebesar 0,000. Jika dibandingkan dengan α = 5% atau 0,05 maka nilai p-value < α atau 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Nilai n-gain pada tiap proses kognitif pemahaman konsep mengalami peningkatan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model CKCM terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi teori kinetik gas. ***** Concept understanding is an important aspect that students must master, but kinetic theory of gases is often difficult to understand, causing various errors such as concept errors. the use of the Common Knowledge Construction Model (CKCM) involving collaboration and group discussions can help improve students’ scientific thinking skills and communication skills which have an impact on students’ concept understanding. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of Common Knowledge Construction Model on students' concept understanding on kinetic theory of gases material. The research method used is quantitative quasi-experimental method. Data collection in this study used pretest and posttest instruments in the form of multiple choice. After being tested using the Wilcoxon test, the p-value obtained was 0.000. When compared with α = 5% or 0.05, the p-value < α or 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The n-gain value in each cognitive process of concept understanding has increased. Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the CKCM model on students' concept understanding on the material of kinetic theory of gases.
