Abstract

Ekosistem merupakan salah satu materi dalam pembelajaran biologi yang kompleks. Dalam mengatasi kompleksitas tersebut, penting untuk memilih media pembelajaran dan strategi yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital berupa website interaktif Eco-STEAM yang berorientasi dalam peningkatan pemahaman konsep ekosistem, dengan pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development dengan model pengembangan 4D. Media yang dikembangkan diuji kelayakan oleh para ahli dalam aspek materi, media, dan bahasa serta uji coba pengembangan melibatkan guru dan peserta didik. Hasil rata-rata uji kelayakan oleh para ahli pada keseluruhan aspek tergolong sangat layak (94,75%). Hasil uji coba pengembangan oleh guru biologi, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba kelompok besar juga mendapat kategori sangat layak (berturut-turut 86,50%, 93,50%, 91,00%). Uji pengaruh penggunaan media terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep ekosistem peserta didik dilakukan dengan desain penelitian one group pretest and posttest. Hasil N-gain menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik tergolong sedang (0,49). Hasil uji hipotesis dan uji effect size menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada pemahaman konsep ekosistem peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media website interaktif Eco-STEAM dengan efek yang tergolong kuat. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa website interaktif Eco-STEAM merupakan media pembelajaran digital yang layak, tervalidasi, dan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep ekosistem peserta didik. Produk ini juga dapat memperkaya media yang dapat dipergunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi, khususnya pada materi ekosistem. /***** Ecosystems are one of the materials in complex biology learning. In overcoming this complexity, it is important to choose appropriate learning media and strategies. This study aims to develop digital learning media in the form of an interactive Eco-STEAM website that is oriented towards improving understanding of ecosystem concepts, with a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach. The research method used is research and development with a 4D development model. The media developed is tested for feasibility by experts in the material, media, and language aspects and development testing involve teachers and students. The average results of assessments by experts in all aspects are classified as very feasible (9,75%). The results of development testing by biology teachers, small group trials, and large group trials also received very feasible categories (86,50%, 93,50%, 91,00% respectively). Testing the effect of media use on students' ability to understand ecosystem concepts was carried out using a one group pretest-posttest research design. The N-gain value shows an increase in students' conceptual understanding which is classified as moderate (0,49). The results of the hypothesis test and effect size test show that there is a significant difference in students' understanding of the ecosystem concept before and after using the Eco-STEAM interactive website media with a relatively strong effect. This proves that the Eco-STEAM interactive website is a digital learning media that is feasible, validated, and able to increase students' understanding of the ecosystem concept. This product can also enrich media that can be used in biology learning, especially ecosystem material.
