Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekstrak tanin dari ampas kopi yang merupakan limbah akhir dari proses pengolahan kopi. Ampas kopi mengandung senyawa organik seperti vitamin, kafein, asam klorogenik, senyawa fenol, lipid, dan tanin. Tanin merupakan pewarna alami yang dapat dipisahkan dari ampas kopi dengan cara ekstraksi cair-padat menggunakan pelarut NADES. Pada penelitian ini pelarut NADES dibuat dengan dua metode yaitu metode UAE dan metode pemanasan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil tanin yang dihasilkan. Tanin kemudian dimurnikan menggunakan pelarut asetil asetat, aseton, dan etanol dengan metode ekstraksi cair-padat dan di karakterisasi dengan FTIR. Uji kualitas tanin meliputi total fenol (TPC), total flavonoid (TFC), dan total kekentalan tanin (TCT). Tanin yang diperoleh selanjutnya digunakan sebagai bahan baku untuk perekat kayu. ******************************************** This study aims to extract tannins from coffee grounds which are the final waste from the coffee processing process. Coffee grounds contain organic compounds such as vitamins, caffeine, chlorogenic acid, phenolic, lipids, and tannins. Tannins are natural dyes that can be separated from coffee grounds by liquid-solid extraction using NADES solvent. In this study, the NADES solvent was made using two methods, namely the UAE method and the heating method to determine the difference in the yield of tannins produced. The tannins were then purified using acetyl acetate, acetone, and ethanol by liquid-solid extraction method and characterized by FTIR. The tannin quality test included total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and total condensed tannin (TCT). The tannins obtained are then used as raw materials for wood adhesives.
