Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis dan sikap terhadap lingkungan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran kimia pada topik asam basa terintegrasi pendidikan lingkungan dengan menerapkan STEM project based learning. Peserta didik mengembangkan proyek alat pengolah limbah sabun dan detergen untuk mengatasi masalah pencemaran air yang berkaitan dengan topik asam basa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, jurnal reflektif, observasi, tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kuesioner sikap terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 25 peserta didik Kelas 11 di sebuah pondok pesantren di Banten, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran asam basa terintegrasi pendidikan lingkungan dan STEM project based learning pada aspek mengajukan pertanyaan masalah, memahami konsep asam basa, menghubungkan ide, dan membuat pembenaran terhadap asumsi berkembang dengan baik. Sedangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada aspek menarik kesimpulan kurang berkembang. Peserta didik memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis yang sangat baik yang ditunjukkan pada rubrik penilaian sebagian besar berada pada level mastering dan competent. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa sikap terhadap lingkungan peserta didik pada aspek kesadaran terhadap lingkungan, sikap terhadap recovery, sikap terhadap recycling, dan perilaku terhadap lingkungan berkembang dengan baik. Peserta didik memiliki sikap terhadap lingkungan yang baik yang ditunjukkan pada rubrik penilaian sebagian besar berada pada tingkat tinggi. ******************************** This study attempts to analyze critical thinking skills and attitudes towards the environment of students in chemistry learning on the topic of acid-base integrated environmental education by applying STEM project-based learning. Students develop a soap and detergent waste treatment tool project to solve the problem of pollution water related to the topic of acid-base. The qualitative method is used to conduct this research by collecting data through interviews, reflective journals, observation, critical thinking skills tests, and attitude towards the environment questionnaires. This study involved 25 students in 11th grade of Islamic boarding school in Banten, Indonesia. The result shows that students' critical thinking skills in acid-base learning integrated environmental education and STEM project-based learning in the aspects of asking problem questions, understanding acid-base concepts, connecting ideas, and making justifications for assumptions are developed well. Meanwhile, the critical thinking skills of students in the aspect of drawing conclusions are less developed. Students have excellent critical thinking skills shown in the assessment rubrics mostly at the mastering and competent level. The results also show that the attitudes towards the environment of students in the aspects of environmental awareness, attitudes towards recovery, attitudes towards recycling, and behavior towards the environment are well developed. Students have a good attitude to the environment indicated in the assessment rubric mostly at a high level.
