Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji literasi kimia siswa pada materi asam dan basa dalam penerapan model self-regulated learning. Penelitian dilaksanakan secara daring pada tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dan melibatkan tiga puluh enam siswa kelas 11. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menggali literasi kimia siswa melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara, reflektif jurnal, dan tes literasi kimia. Penelitian ini mengamati empat aspek literasi kimia yaitu pengetahuan konten ilmiah dan kimia, kimia dalam konteks, keterampilan belajar tingkat tinggi, dan aspek afektif. Model self-regulated learning dilaksanakan dalam empat siklus yang berisi forethought, performance, dan self-reflection phase. Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kimia siswa berada pada tingkatan yang beragam, yaitu sebanyak 46,68% siswa berada pada level yang cukup tinggi yaitu conceptual scientific literacy, sebanyak 39,4% siswa pada level functional scientific literacy atau kategori sedang, sementara 8,9% siswa pada level nominal scientific literacy, dan 5,02% pada level scientific illiteracy berada dalam kategori rendah. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh perilaku siswa dalam belajar serta minat siswa terhadap kimia. ******************************************************** The objective of this study was to investigate the chemical literacy levels on acid and base topics through the self-regulated learning models. The study was conducted online in the 2020/2021 academic year and involved thirty-six grade 11 students. literacy through classroom observation, interviews, reflective journals, and chemical literacy tests. This study observes four aspects of chemical literacy, namely scientific and chemical content knowledge, chemistry in context, high-level learning skills, and affective aspects. The self-regulated learning model implemented in four cycles consisting of forethought, performance, and self- reflection phase. The overall results of the study indicate that students' chemical abilities are at various levels, 46.68% of students are at a fairly high level, namely conceptual scientific literacy, 39.4% of students are at the level of functional scientific literacy or the moderate category, while 8 .9% of students at the level of nominal scientific literacy, and 5.02% at the level of scientific illiteracy are in the low category. This is influenced by student behavior in learning and student interest in chemistry.
