Abstract

This study aims to develop a batik learning model based on the smart batik class application that integrates the principles of three instructional designs, namely the Borg and Gall, Dick and Carey, and SAM (Successive Approximation Model) instructional design models. The development of this model is based on the needs in the field to facilitate batik learning at the Cikadu Batik Studio which faces various challenges such as difficulties in making motifs, canting (fine, firm and real lines), mixing colors, and measuring student evaluations. This learning model has gone through a feasibility test by instrument experts, instructional design experts, material experts, media experts, and language experts. Although the validation process involved several revisions, all input from the experts has been applied to perfect the development of this model. The developed model has also been tested individually (3 students), small group trials (15 students) and large group trials (30 students). The results of the effectiveness of the learning model are shown through increased understanding and practice of batik. The pre-test result of batik understanding was 45.00 while the post-test was 87.93, which means that there was an increase in batik learning outcomes for students of 42.93. In the previous batik practice test, the average value obtained was 46.22 after the implementation of the batik learning model based on the smart batik class application became 80.05. So that the overall increase was 33.83. Furthermore, the results of the N-Gain test of 0.7753 showed that the developed learning model was effective because it exceeded the reference value set at 0.6. Finally, from the results of the t-test, the t-count was 25.752. This value is greater than the t-table of 2,045 at a significance level of 0.05 with a degree of freedom (DF) of 29. Based on the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the development of a batik learning model based on the smart batik class application is effective for use at the Cikadu Batik Studio. Keywords: batik learning, experiential learning, SBC application *********** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran membatik berbasis aplikasi smart batik class yang mengintegrasikan prinsipprinsip dari tiga desain instruksional, yaitu model desain instruksional Borg and Gall, Dick and Carey, serta SAM (Successive Approximation Model). Pengembangan model ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan di lapangan untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran membatik di Sanggar Batik Cikadu yang menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti kesulitan dalam pembuatan motif, mencanting (garis halus, tegas dan nyata), meracik warna, dan mengukur evaluasi peserta didik. Model pembelajaran ini telah melalui uji kelayakan oleh ahli instrumen, ahli desain instruksional, ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa. Meskipun proses validasi melibatkan beberapa revisi, semua masukan dari para ahli telah diterapkan untuk menyempurnakan pengembangan model ini. Model yang dikembangkan juga sudah dilakukan uji coba perorangan (3 peserta didik), uji coba kelompok kecil (15 peserta didik) dan uji coba kelompok besar (30 peserta didik). Hasil efektivitas model pembelajaran ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan pemahaman dan praktik membatik. Hasil pre-test pemahaman membatik sebesar 45,00 sedangkan post-test 87,93 itu berarti terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar membatik pada peserta didik sebesar 42,93. Pada uji praktik membatik sebelumnya rata-rata nilai yang didapat sebesar 46,22 setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran membatik berbasis aplikasi smart batik class menjadi 80,05. Sehingga secara keseluruhan peningkatannya sebesar 33,83. Selanjutnya, hasil pengujian N-Gain sebesar 0,7753 menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif digunakan karena melebihi nilai referensi yang ditetapkan sebesar 0,6. Terakhir, dari hasil uji-t yang dilakukan, didapat t-hitung sebesar 25.752. Nilai tersebut lebih besar dari t-tabel 2.045 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan (DF) 29. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan model pembelajaran membatik berbasis aplikasi smart batik class efektif digunakan di Sanggar Batik Cikadu.
