Abstract
Seiring dengan meningkatkan kompleksitas perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak di laboratorium komputer, kebutuhan akan manajemen jaringan yang efektif semakin krusial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas SMK Negeri 3 Bogor dalam manajemen dan monitoring perangkat komputer laboratoriumnya melalui desain dan implementasi sistem manajemen perangkat laboratorium menggunakan metode PPDIOO (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimize). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimize (PPDIOO) Life Cycle. Namun dalam penerapannya dilakukan sampai tahap Operate karena fokus penelitian adalah implementasi dan pengoperasian sistem daripada peningkatan kinerja. Tahap Prepare dilakukan untuk memetakan topologi jaringan dan distribusi perangkat keras pada laboratorium serta menentukan analisis permasalahan yang ada. Tahap Plan dilakukan untuk menentukan perangkat yang digunakan sebagai server serta aplikasi Theopenem dipilih untuk merancang sistem manajemen terpusat. Tahap Design meliputi konfigurasi pada komputer server berupa kebijakan untuk instalasi perangkat lunak, windows update, collect inventory, dan user login, serta pemanfaatan fitur seperti remote shutdown dan wake-up, remote desktop, dan file transfer. Tahap Implement dilakukan untuk konfigurasi pada komputer client dengan menginstalasi client agent. Tahap terakhir Operate dilakukan pengujian terhadap sistem yang telah diimplementasikan serta dilakukan pengujian User Acceptance Test (UAT). Hasil penelitian desain dan implementasi sistem manajemen perangkat laboratorium di SMKN 3 Bogor dengan menggunakan metode PPDIOO telah berhasil dilakukan dengan nilai pengujian UAT menunjukkan rata-rata 100% dari dua orang responden yaitu Kepala Jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan dan Teknisi Jaringan. Desain dan Implementasi menggunakan aplikasi Theopenem berhasil diterapkan sebagai sistem manajemen terbaru di SMK Negeri 3 Bogor dalam mengelola dan monitoring perangkat laboratoriumnya. ********** As complexity of hardware and software in computer laboratory increases, the need for effective network management is increasingly crucial. This research aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of SMK Negeri 3 Bogor in the management and monitoring of its laboratory computer devices through the design and implementation of a laboratory device management system using the PPDIOO (Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, Optimize) Life Cycle method. However, in its application, it is carried out until the Operate stage because the focus of the research is the implementation and operation of the system rather than performance improvement. The Prepare stage is carried out to map the network topology and hardware distribution in the laboratory and determine the analysis of existing problems. The Plan stage is carried out to determine the device used as a server and the Theopenem application is selected to design a centralized management system. The Design stage includes configuration on the server computer in the form of policies for software installation, windows update, collect inventory, and user login, as well as utilization of features such as remote shutdown and wake-up, remote desktop, and file transfer. The Implement stage is carried out for configuration on client computers by installing client agents. The last stage of Operate is testing the system that has been implemented and testing the User Acceptance Test (UAT). The research results of the design and implementation of a laboratory device management system at SMKN 3 Bogor using the PPDIOO method have been successfully carried out with the UAT test value showing an average of 100% from two respondents, namely the Head of the Computer and Network Engineering Department and Network Technicians. Design and Implementation using Theopenem application was successfully implemented as the latest management system at SMK Negeri 3 Bogor in managing and monitoring its laboratory equipment
