Abstract

Barium Heksaferit (BaFe12O19) merupakan material magnet permanent yang memiliki sifat-sifat unggul untuk aplikasi pada gelombang mikro. Sifat karakterisasi barium heksaferit yang dimodifikasi dengan penambahan unsur Fe3O4 dan SiO2 sebanyak 10%, 20%, 30% telah diamati. Sintesis dari ferit dilakukan dengan metode reaksi zat padat. Analisis sifat magnetik, fasa material, dan sifat penyerapan gelombang mikro masing-masing dikarakterisasi menggunakan Permagraph, XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), dan VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) pada frekuensi 8.2-12.4 GHz. Struktur kristal Barium Heksaferit yang terbentuk heksagonal dengan sifat magnetik Hc, Ms, dan Mr masing-masing yaitu sebesar 263.7 kA/m, 0.089T, dan 0.133T. Sampel masih terdapat fasa lain diluar BaFe12O19, yaitu fasa Hematit (Fe2O3). Material tersebut dapat menyerap gelombang elektromagnet pada frekuensi yang berbeda-beda. Pada waktu milling 1 jam, nilai RL yang optimum adalah -34.568 dB di frekuensi 8.872 GHz pada material BaFe12O19/Fe3O4/SiO2 10%. Pada waktu milling 20 jam, nilai RL yang optimum adalah -35.480 dB di frekuensi 9.685 GHz pada material BaFe12O19/Fe3O4/SiO2 0%. ********************************************************** Barium Hexaferite (BaFe12O19) is a permanent magnet material that has superior properties for applications at microwaves. The characterization properties of barium hexaferite which change with the addition of Fe3O4 and SiO2 elements as much as 10%, 20%, 30% have been observed. The synthesis of ferite was carried out by the Solid State Reaction (SSR) method. Analysis of properties, phase materials, and microwave absorption properties were characterized using Permagraph, XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), and VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) at a frequency of 8.2-12.4 GHz, respectively. The crystal structure of Barium Hexaferite formed is hexagonal in shape with Hc, Ms, and Mr properties parameters of 263.7 kA/m, 0.089 T, and 0.133 T, respectively. The sample still contains other phases outside BaFe12O19, namely the Hematite (Fe2O3) phase. These materials can absorb electromagnetic waves at different frequencies. At 1 hour milling time, the optimum RL value is -34,568 dB at a frequency of 8.872 GHz on 10% BaFe12O19/Fe3O4/SiO2 material. At a milling time of 20 hours, the optimum RL value was -35,480 dB at a frequency of 9.685 GHz on 0% BaFe12O19/Fe3O4/SiO2 material.
