Abstract

*********************************************************** This study aims to produce a mathematics electronic textbook on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approaches in the material of Straight Line Equations for Grade VIII student junior high school, due to the lack of understanding of students in mathematical material. This is reinforced by the results of the needs analysis conducted at SMPN 68 Jakarta, as many as 77% of students stated that they had difficulties in understanding mathematical material. From the results of the same the needs analysis, 62% stated that the Straight Line Equation material was a difficult material and 47% stated that electronic textbooks were the required teaching materials. Research and development is carried out using the Research and Development method which refers to the Borg and Gall model. The developed electronic textbooks have gone through the validation process of material and language experts with an average percentage of 90%, and media expert validation with an average percentage value of 85.4%. From the results of the teacher evaluation, the average percentage was 97%. From the test results, small and large groups each obtained an average percentage of 91% and 84.5%. From these results, the developed electronic textbooks are suitable for use in the learning process in schools with an average overall stage of 89,5% with a very good category.
