Abstract
Proses pembuatan dan karakterisasi briket arang tempurung kelapa berperekat tepung terigu dengan variasi konsentrasi tepung terigu 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, dan 10% serta variasi pengeringan briket selama 30, 60, dan 90 menit. Karakterisasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), pengujian kekuatan tekan, dan pengujian laju pembakaran untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi konsentrasi tepung terigu terhadap sifat mekanik dan laju pembakaran briket arang tempurung kelapa. Hasil dari SEM-EDS menunjukan bahwa kandungan briket tempurung kelapa didominasi oleh unsur karbon (C), dan kalium (K). Hasil FTIR menampilkan serapan gugus O-H dan C=C. Pengujian kekuatan tekan dan pengujian laju pembakaran menunjukan bahwa variasi konsentrasi tepung terigu mempengaruhi sifat mekanik dan laju pembakaran briket arang tempurung kelapa. Nilai kuat tekan tertinggi dimiliki oleh briket tempurung kelapa dengan konsentrasi tepung terigu 10% dengan waktu pengeringan 30 menit, yaitu 2.48MPa. Laju pembakaran pada sampel ini adalah yang paling lambat, yaitu 0.06333 gr/menit. *********************************************************** The process of producing and characterization of coconut shell charcoal briquettes with wheat flour adhesive using different flour concentrations of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%, as well as different drying times of 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The effect of variations in wheat flour concentration on the mechanical properties and rate of combustion of shell charcoal briquettes was investigated using Scanning Electron Microscopy Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), compressive strength testing, and combustion rate testing in this study. coconut. Carbon (C) and potassium (K) components dominated the content of coconut shell briquettes, according to SEM-EDS data. The absorption of the O-H and C=C groups may be seen in the FTIR readings. Variations in the percentage of wheat flour had an effect on the mechanical qualities and the rate of burning of coconut shell charcoal briquettes, according to the compressive strength and combustion rate tests. Coconut shell briquettes with a concentration of 10% wheat flour and a drying duration of 30 minutes had the maximum compressive strength value of 2.48 MPa. The burning rate in this sample is 0.06333 grams per minute, which is the slowest.
