Abstract

******************************************* Students have difficulty in understanding static fluid physics material, especially Archimedes' principle. This conceptual difficulty is caused by one of the factors, namely the teaching style of teachers who only rely on the lecture method and in general the low skills of teachers in Indonesia to design and utilize learning media. This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media using Microsoft Office PowerPoint software with the help of iSpring Suite 8 which was developed as a learning medium in the classroom for high school students. The research method used is the Research & Development method with the Dick & Carey development model. The steps in the development include: 1) analyzing the needs and character of students through literature studies, 2) developing learning media, 3) expert validation and field trials of research products. The validation instrument and the media field test used an assessment questionnaire with a Likert scale. The assessment indicators used are based on existing theoretical studies. The results of the validation resulted in the percentage of eligibility by material experts 85.41%, media experts 78.95%, high school physics teachers 83.90%, limited field trials by high school students 85.83%. These results indicate that interactive learning media using PowerPoint iSpring Suite 8 on the subject of static fluids for high school students is very suitable to be used as a physics learning medium in high school.
