Abstract

********************************************* This study aims to analyze the self-regulation ability of students of class X MIPA 1 SMA Diponegoro 1 Rawamangun using the Scaffolded Online Inquiry-Based Learning approach on the topic of intermolecular forces. This research was conducted with a qualitative methodology through the analysis of the results of video recordings of student learning activities on POEE-based Google Sites. Based on the analysis of the results of synchronous observations, video observations of student learning recordings, semi-structured interviews, stimulated-recall interviews, reflective journals, and inquiry question forms embedded in Google Sites, it was found that students applied almost all processes in each phase of self-regulation, except for the strategy of interest enhancement, self-concequences, and self-recording processes. The strategies that students implement indicate the need for guidance in developing students' self-regulation abilities. However, the POEE method applied through Google Sites can trigger the use of more varied self-regulation strategies. Meanwhile, students' understanding of the position of the occurrence of intermolecular forces in general is appropriate, but students' understanding regarding the accuracy of understanding each type of intermolecular force is still inadequate. Students' understanding seen from the picture-form answers is more adequate than the text-form answers. The implication of this research is that the POEE method through Google Sites can be used to trigger students to use more varied self-regulation strategies although its effect on understanding the topic of intermolecular forces still needs to be reviewed.
