Abstract

Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menginovasikan, merancang, dan menguji purwarupa alat pemadam api ringan dengan menerapkan prinsip kerja gelombang bunyi audiosonik rendah yang dihasilkan dari pembangkit frekuensi dan dikuatkan sinyal nya untuk menuju ke speaker subwoofer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan enam tahap perancangan sub-sistem, yaitu; Rangkaian catu daya berupa aki MF yang dirangkai 2-seri dan diregulasi dengan IC 7805, 7812, dan 7824; Rangkaian kontrol berupa push button yang dirangkai dengan pull-up resistor; Rangkaian function generator untuk membangkitkan gelombang square/sine; Rangkaian penguat audio untuk menguatkan sinyal dari FG menuju subwoofer; Rangkaian sensor berupa sensor api dan sensor suhu; serta Desain kemasan elektronik untuk purwarupa yang dibuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puwarupa alat pemadam api yang dibuat mampu memadamkan api yang menyala dari ketiga wujud zat bahan bakar yang berbeda, yakni parafin (padat), bensin (cair), dan gas butana, dengan ukuran diameter dan tinggi api maksimum berturut-turut 12 cm dan 20 cm, menggunakan gelombang bunyi dengan frekuensi 40 – 120 Hz. Kinerja optimal purwarupa dalam memadamkan api adalah dengan menggunakan jenis gelombang square, dan pada sudut 0º dengan jarak maksimum 30 cm antara alat pemadam dengan titik api. Rentang durasi padam api adalah 4.58s ~ 16.60s untuk pemadaman api dengan bahan bakar parafin, 4.94s ~ 17.20s untuk pemadaman api dengan bahan bakar bensin, dan 6.27s ~ 18.28s untuk pemadaman api dengan bahan bakar gas butana. ************************************************************ This research aims to innovate, design, and examine a fire extinguisher prototype, by applying the work principle of low audio sonic sound waves which generated from a frequency generator and amplifying the signal to go to the subwoofer speaker. The Research and Development (R&D) methods are used in this research with six sub-system design steps, including; The power supply circuit is in the form of MF-batteries assembled 2-series and regulated with IC7805, IC7812, and IC7824; The control circuit in the form of a push button assembled with a pull-up resistor; Function generators to generate square/sine waves; Audio amplifier to amplify the FG’s signal to the subwoofer; Sensors circuit in the form of fire-sensors and temperature-sensors; and The design of prototypes packaging. The results showed that prototype fire extinguisher was made capable to extinguish fires that are lit from three-different forms of fuel substances, that is, paraffin (solid), gasoline (liquid), and butane gas, with the maximum fire diameter of 12 cm and height of 20 cm, using sound waves with a frequency of 40–120 Hz. The optimal performance of the prototype for extinguishing fires by using a square wave type, and at an angle of 0º, with a maximum distance of 30 cm between the extinguisher and the fire point. The duration needed to extinguish fire is 4.58~16.60 second for a fire lit from paraffin fuel, 4.94~17.20 second for petrol fuel, and 6.27~18.28 second for butane gas fuel.
