Abstract
Untuk mengurangi masalah kelangkaan BBM salah satunya adalah dengan membuat kinerja mesin khususnya dalam hal sistem bahan bakar menjadi lebih optimal, penggunaan Broquet pada motor tentunya dapat membuat kinerja mesin lebih efisien agar pemanfaatan bahan bakar semakin efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan katalis Broquet terhadap performa mesin sepeda motor Yamaha R15 V3. Hal yang dianalisa meliputi pengaruh terhadap daya, torsi dan konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Pengujian dilakukan pada kondisi bukaan throttle gas 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100% dengan variasi bahan bakar pertamax tanpa katalisator, katalisator broquet tipe tablet, katalisator broquet tipe silinder dan menggunakan katalisator campuran keduanya dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali pada setiap variasi pengujiannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai daya hasil pengujian mengalami kenaikan signifikan pada pengujian menggunakan bahan bakar pertamax dengan katalis campuran broquet tablet dan silinder pada setiap kondisi bukaan throttle, yaitu sebagai berikut. Pada bukaan throttle 25% terjadi kenaikan nilai daya sebesar 43,84%, pada bukaan throttle 50% sebesar 2,85%, pada bukaan throttle 75% sebesar 4,19% dan pada bukaan throttle 100% sebesar 4,89%. Hal serupa terjadi pada torsi yaitu mengalami kenaikan pada variasi menggunakan katalis broquet campuran tablet dan silinder yaitu pada bukaan throttle 25% sebesar 55,10%, pada bukaan throttle 50% sebesar 11,1%, pada bukaan throttle 75% sebesar 13,05%, dan pada bukaan 100% mengalami kenaikan nilai torsi sebesar 14,4%. Sedangkan nilai konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, mengalami penurunan sebesar 39,20%. ********************************************************** To reduce the problem of fuel scarcity, one of which is to make engine performance, especially in terms of the fuel system more optimal, the use of Broquet on the motor can certainly make engine performance more efficient so that fuel utilization is more effective. The purpose of this study was to analyze how much influence the use of a Broquet catalyst has on the performance of a Yamaha R15 V3 motorcycle engine. The things analyzed include the effect on power, torque and specific fuel consumption. This research is using experimental method. The test was carried out at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% gas throttle opening conditions with a variety of Pertamax fuel without a catalyst, a tablet-type broquet catalyst, a cylinder-type broquet catalyst and using a mixed catalyst both 3 times for each variation of the test. The results showed that the power value of the test results had a significant increase in the test using Pertamax fuel with a catalyst mixture of broquet tablets and cylinders at each throttle opening condition, namely as follows. At 25% throttle opening, the power value increases by 43.84%, at 50% throttle opening by 2.85%, at 75% throttle opening by 4.19% and at 100% throttle opening by 4.89%. The same thing happened to torque, namely an increase in variations using a broquet catalyst mixture of tablets and cylinders, namely at 25% throttle opening at 55.10%, at 50% throttle opening at 11.1%, at 75% throttle opening at 13.05%. , and at 100% opening the torque value increased by 14.4%. While the value of specific fuel consumption based on the calculation results, decreased by 39.20%.
