Abstract

*****ABSTRAK***** Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) adalah ajang olahrga terbesar di Indoneisa, yang melibatkan seluruh provinsi yang ada di Indonesia. PON ini di adakan setiap empat tahun sekali. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketan autoetnografi dimana untuk mendokumentasikan perjalanan serta pengalaman penulis sebagai seorang atlet yang pengikuti Pekan Olahraga Nasional pada cabang olahraga Bola Tangan Putri DKI Jakarta. Penulis merefleksikan berbagai tantangan yang dilalui selama proses latihan, serta pentingnya dukungan dari pelatih, orang tua, teman satu tim, serta kerabat. Selain itu, penelitian ini membahas proses latihan yang panjang, mulai dari persiapan umum, persiapan khusus, pra-kompetisi serta berbagai tes parameter untuk meningkatkan performa atlet. Penelitian ini menggambarkan bagaimana dedikasi, disiplin, dan sinergi dengan lingkugan pendukung keberhasilan seorang atlet. Pendekatan autoetnografi memberikan ruang refleksi menalam atas pengalaman pribadi yang tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi penulis tetapi juga bagi atlet, pelatih dan lainnya untuk memahami faktor-faktor penting dalam perjalanan mencapai prestasi. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti peran kolaorasi dan dukungan kolektiif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif untuk pengembangan atlet. Kata kunci : Pekan Olahraga Nasional, Bola tangan, Autoetnografi *****ABSTRACT***** National Sports Week (PON) is the biggest sporting event in Indonesia, involving all provinces in Indonesia. This PON is held every four years. This research uses an autoethnographic approach to document the author's journey and experiences as an athlete participating in the National Sports Week in the DKI Jakarta Women's Handball sport. The author reflects on the various challenges faced during the training process, as well as the importance of support from coaches, parents, teammates and relatives. Apart from that, this research discusses the long training process, starting from general preparation, special preparation, pre-competition as well as various parameter tests to improve athlete performance. This research illustrates how dedication, discipline, and synergy with the environment support an athlete's success. The autoethnographic approach provides space for in-depth reflection on personal experiences which is not only useful for writers but also for athletes, coaches and others to understand important factors in the journey to achieve achievement. This research also highlights the role of collaboration and collective support in creating an environment conducive to athlete development. Keywords: National Sports Week, Handball, Autoethnography
