Abstract

Perilaku agresif merupakan kecenderungan perilaku yang berniat menyakiti orang lain sebagai cara mengekspresikan perasaan negatifnya, beberapa aspek yang terlibat yaitu agresi fisik, verbal, kemarahan dan permusuhan. Sampel pada penelitian ini melibatkan 600 remaja berusia 15-18 tahun di Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peer-attachment dan self-esteem terhadap kecenderungan agresivitas remaja di Kota Tangerang Selatan dengan menggunakan metode survei dan teknik sampel two-stage cluster random sampling. Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale diberikan pada responden untuk mengukur Self-Esteem, sub-skala Peer-Attachment dari alat ukur IPPA (Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment) untuk melihat kualitas peer-attachment, sedangkan Buss- Perry Aggression Questionnaire digunakan untuk mengukur agresivitas. Hasil analisis data menggunakan PLS (Partial Least Square) mengungkapkan bahwa peer-attachment serta self-esteem berkorelasi negatif dan signifikan terhadap kecenderungan agresivitas remaja dengan kontribusi terhadap variabel agresivitas sebesar 51.3%. Variabel peer-attachment memberikan kontribusi lebih besar terhadap variabel agresivitas dengan total efek sebesar 0.503. Pada variabel agresivitas, agresi permusuhan memberikan kontribusi lebih besar dalam variabel agresivitas dengan loading factor sebesar 0.874. ***** Aggressive behaviour is a tendency to harm others as a way to express negative feelings, involving several aspects such as physical aggression, verbal aggression, anger, and hostility. The sample in this study involved 600 adolescents aged 15-18 in South Tangerang. This research aims to determine the relationship between peer attachment and self-esteem on the tendency for aggression among adolescents in South Tangerang, using a survey method and a two-stage cluster random sampling technique. The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale was administered to respondents to measure self-esteem, while the peer attachment subscale from the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) was used to assess the quality of peer attachment. The Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire was utilized to measure aggression. Data analysis using PLS (Partial Least Square) revealed that both peer attachment and self-esteem have a negative and significant correlation with the tendency for aggression among adolescents, contributing 51.3% to the aggression variable. The peer attachment variable contributed more significantly to the aggression variable with a total effect of 0.503. Among the aggression variables, hostility contributed more to aggression than physical and verbal aggression with loading factor 0.874.
