Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman dan miskonsepsi siswa pada topik gelombang menggunakan instrumen tes diagnostik five-tier. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data yang berfokus pada kategori pemahaman, yaitu paham konsep (PK), paham sebagian (PS), kurang pengetahuan (KP), miskonsepsi (M), dan tidak paham konsep (TPK) serta mengukur tingkat miskonsepsi peserta didik pada topik gelombang dan pada subtopik mana saja banyak terjadi miskonsepsi. Penelitian dilakukan pada empat sekolah menengah atas di Jakarta yang terdiri dari dua SMA negeri dan dua SMA swasta dengan akreditasi berbeda. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 107 siswa SMA di Jakarta, 38% paham konsep, sementara 29% mengalami miskonsepsi, dengan subtopik gelombang tertentu seperti "Prinsip dalam Gelombang," "Sifat-Sifat Gelombang Cahaya," dan "Efek Doppler, Resonansi, serta Layangan Bunyi" memiliki tingkat miskonsepsi tertinggi, terutama di SMA dengan akreditasi B yang cenderung memiliki tingkat miskonsepsi lebih tinggi dibandingkan SMA berakreditasi A.**This study aims to analyze the level of understanding and misconceptions of students on the topic of waves using a five-tier diagnostic test instrument. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data analysis techniques that focus on the categories of understanding, namely conceptual understanding, partial understanding, lack of knowledge, misconceptions, and do not understand the concept and measure the level of misconceptions of students on the topic of waves and on which subtopics there are many misconceptions. The research was conducted in four senior high schools in Jakarta consisting of two public and two private high schools with different accreditations. The study showed that out of 107 high school students in Jakarta, 38% understood the concept, while 29% had misconceptions, with certain wave subtopics such as “Principles in Waves,” “Properties of Light Waves,” and “Doppler Effect, Resonance, and Sound Kites” having the highest misconception rates, especially in B-accredited high schools which tend to have higher misconception rates than A-accredited high schools.
