Abstract

Penulisan kalimat pada naskah berita mengutamakan struktur formal yang singkat, padat, dan jelas untuk menjaga minat pembaca. Hal ini membuat reporter dan penulis naskah berita untuk berfokus pada hal-hal penting tanpa membuat kalimat terlalu panjang dan berputar-putar. Dengan pemotongan kata-kata yang tidak penting, konstruksi dari gabungan kata tertentu akan terbentuk. Hal ini terlihat pada frasa nominal, di mana frasa nominal ditulis secara panjang, hingga tersusun dari satu frasa atau lebih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur frasa nominal di dalam artikel lingkungan Koran Kompas tahun 2023 beserta makna gramatikalnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Peneliti peneliti menggunakan tiga artikel dengan tema lingkungan yang telah terbit pada tahun 2023. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, dari total data 199 frasa nominal yang ditemukan, terdapat 1 data frasa nominal berstruktur ‘Num. + N’, 10 data frasa nominal berstruktur ‘Adv. + N’, 39 data frasa nominal berstruktur ‘N + N’, 14 data frasa nominal berstruktur ‘N + Det.’, 11 data frasa nominal berstruktur ‘N + Adj.’, 2 data frasa nominal berstruktur ‘N + V’, dan terakhir 122 data frasa nominal ‘lainnya’. Frasa ‘lainnya’ memiliki variasi dalam strukturnya karena kategori ini mencangkup struktur frasa endosentris koordinatif serta frasa yang memiliki frasa sebagai unsur pembangun. Hal ini berupa berbagai kombinasi dari frasa, frasa + kata, serta frasa + kata + konjungsi. Susunan frasa nominal yang panjang sering digunakan untuk menyatakan jabatan seseorang atau menyebutkan daftar akan sesuatu. ***** Sentence forming in news scripts prioritizes a formalized structure that is short, concise, and clear to maintain readers’ interest. This made reporters and news writers to focus on the important points without making the sentences too long and circling around. With the trimming of unnecessary words, construction of certain combination of words will form. This construction is visible in a nominal phrase, where a phrase can be written in length, that its structure is consisted of one phrase or more. This research aims to describe the structure of nominal phrases in nature articles of Kompas Newspapers at year 2023 and its grammatical meanings. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Researcher used three nature-themed articles that has been published in 2023. The result of this research found, from a total of 199 data of nominal phrases, there are 1 data of ‘Num. + N’ structure nominal phrase, 10 data of ‘Adv. + N’ structure nominal phrases, 39 data of ‘N + N’ structure nominal phrases, 11 data of ‘N + Adj.’ structure nominal phrases, 2 data of ‘N + V’ structure nominal phrases, 14 data of ‘N + Det.’ nominal phrases, and finally 122 data of ‘other’ structure nominal phrases. ‘Other’ nominal phrases have variety in the number as this category covers endocentric coordinative phrases as well as phrases that have a phrase as its construction element. This takes form in multiple combination of phrases, phrase(s) + word(s), as well as phrase(s) + word(s) + conjunction(s). A long nominal phrases are often used to state someone’s title or mentioning a list of something.
