Abstract

The rapid advancement of science and technology requires students to develop creative thinking skills to address various complex problems, including those related to viruses. This study aims to examine the effect of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model integrated with STEAM on students' creative thinking skills about viruses. A quasi-experimental method was used with a pretestposttest non-equivalent group design. The research subjects were 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Rumpin. Data collection was conducted through creative thinking tests and observation sheets on the implementation of learning activities. Hypothesis testing using a Independent Sample T-Test at α = 0.05 resulted in a significance value of 0.022, indicating a significant effect of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model integrated with STEAM on students' creative thinking skills in the topic of viruses. Thus, this learning model can serve as an engaging alternative for science education in schools.
