Abstract

Tokoh Anak dalam Cerpen J’aime Lire Karya Bayard Jeunesse. Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik tokoh anak yang terdapat dalam cerpen J’aime Lire. Teori utama yang digunakan sebagai acuan adalah karakteristik anak yang digagaskan oleh Lickona (2012). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi berpendekatan simak yang mengacu pada teori milik Zaim (2014 : 89) sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Setelah data terkumpul, data tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis data yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman, yang melibatkan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan serta verifikasi kesimpulan. Proses penelitian dimulai dengan mengidentifikasi fokus penelitian, merumuskan masalah, memilih sumber data, mengkaji teori yang relevan dan penelitian terdahulu, serta memilih metode penelitian yang sesuai. Tahap pengumpulan data melibatkan pengamatan terhadap sumber data dan pengumpulan informasi yang relevan. Selanjutnya, kata, frasa, dan kalimat temuan dari data cerpen dianalisis dan dikategorikan ke dalam 10 karakteristik anak berdasarkan teori utama. Pada langkah terakhir, temuan penelitian didokumentasikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat 30 data karakteristik tokoh anak yang mengacu pada teori Lickona yang didominasi oleh karakteristik sikap positif sebanyak 10 data, kemudian karakteristik kendali diri sebanyak 8 data, lalu karakteristik kerja keras sebanyak 6 data, selanjutnya karakteristik terima kasih sebanyak 2 data, karakteristik kebijaksanaan sebanyak 1 data, karakteristik keadilan sebanyak 1 data, karakteristik ketabahan sebanyak 1 data, dan karakteristik kasih sebanyak 1 data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat di simpulkan bahwa cerpen “J’aime Lire” merepresentasikan karakter anak menurut lickona, dengan mendominasi sikap positif. **** Child Characters in the Short Story J'aime Lire by Bayard Jeunesse. The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics of the child characters in the short story “J'aime Lire”. The main theory used as a reference is the characteristics of children initiated by Lickona (2012). The approach used is a qualitative approach with a content analysis method followed by a listening method that refers to Zaim's theory (2014: 89) as a data collection technique. After the data were collected, they were analyzed using the data analysis method proposed by Miles and Huberman, which involved data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The research process began with identifying the focus of the research, formulating the problem, selecting data sources, reviewing relevant theories and previous research, and selecting appropriate research methods. The data collection stage involved observing the data sources and collecting relevant information. Next, words, phrases and sentences from the short story data were analyzed and categorized into the 10 characteristics of children based on the main theory. In the last step, the research findings were documented. The results of this study indicate that there are 30 data on the characteristics of child characters that refer to Lickona's theory which are dominated by positive attitude characteristics as much as 10 data, then self-control characteristics as much as 8 data, then hard work characteristics as much as 6 data, then gratitude characteristics as much as 2 data, wisdom characteristics as much as 1 data, justice characteristics as much as 1 data, fortitude characteristics as much as 1 data, and love characteristics as much as 1 data. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the short story “J’aime Lire” represents children's characters according to Lickona, with a dominance of positive attitudes.****
