Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah di Labschool Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2019 hingga Januari 2014 dengan objek penelitian di Perpustakaan Labschool Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan beberapa pedoman diantaranya pedoman observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Sistem Pelayanan Perpustakaan menerapkan sistem terbuka dan tertutup, yang terbagi menjadi empat jenis pelayanan yaitu : referensi, sirkulasi, multimedia dan pembelajaran di ruang perpustakaan. Adapun jam operasional perpustakaan yaitu Senin-Kamis : 06.30-16.30 WIB dan Jumat : 06.30-16.00 WIB. (2) Pengolahan Bahan Pustaka Perpustakaan dilakukan melalui empat kegiatan utama yaitu inventaris, klasifikasi, katalogasi, dan shelving. Dalam pengolahan bahan pustaka juga dilakukan analisis kebutuhan yaitu dengan menyebar form pengajuan buku baru kepada guru dan peserta didik. (3) Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi dalam Pengelolaan Perpustakaan dilakukan berdasarkan perangkat yaitu perangkat lunak dengan menerapkan sistem automasi perpustakaan menggunakan aplikasi SLIMS (Senayan Library Management System) dan perangkat keras dengan penyediaan ruang multimedia. (4) Pengawasan Pengelolaan Perpustakaan Sekolah dilakukan oleh Kepala Sub Bagian Kepegawaian dan Kepala Perpustakaan. This research aims to describe the management of school libraries in Labschool Jakarta. This research was conducted in October 2019 until January 2020 with the object of research in the Labschool High School Library Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection uses several guidelines including observation guidelines, interviews and documentation studies. This research shows that: (1) The Library Service System applies an open and closed system, which is divided into four types of services, namely: reference, circulation, multimedia and learning in the library room. The library operating hours are Monday-Thursday: 06.30-16.30 WIB and Friday: 06.30-16.00 WIB. (2) Processing of Library Library Materials is carried out through four main activities, namely inventory, classification, cataloging, and shelving. In processing library materials, a needs analysis is also done by spreading the form of submission of new books to teachers and students. (3) Utilization of Information Technology in Library Management is based on devices, namely software by implementing library automation systems using the SLIMS (Senayan Library Management System) application and hardware by providing multimedia space. (4) Supervision of School Library Management is carried out by the Head of the Personnel Subdivision and the Head of the Library.
