Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Strategi Inquiring Mind Want to Know Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas IV SD. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV SDN Jatisampurna V dan Jatisampurna IX, Kelurahan Jatisampurna Kota Bekasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa soal pilihan ganda. Instrumen tersebut kemudian diuji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji persyaratan data. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, diperoleh thitung = 73,674 dengan dk = 70, sedangkan harga ttabel pada taraf signifikansi (α) = 0,05 dengan dk = 70 adalah sebesar 1,67. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut diperoleh bahwa thitung lebih besar daripada ttabel (73,674 > 1,67), maka artinya hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis kerja (H1) diterima. Hal ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang pada penggunaan Strategi Inquiring Mind Want to Know Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas 4 SD. Oleh sebab itu, pendidik perlu mengetahui kemampuan dan kebutuhan peserta didik sehingga dapat merancang kegiatan yang sesuai dan bervariasi dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk dapat meningkatkan Hasil Belajar siswa kelas IV SD. The research was aimed to determine the effect of the Inquiring Mind Want to Know Strategy on Social Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Elementary Students. The sample in this study were students of grade IV SDN Jatisampurna V and Jatisampurna IX, Kelurahan Jatisampurna, Bekasi City. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The method used is an experimental method with the design of Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection is done by using instruments in the form of multiple choice questions. The instrument is then tested for normality and homogeneity as a test of data requirements. Then the hypothesis analysis is done using t-test. Based on the calculation results, obtained tcount = 73.674 with dk = 70, while the price of ttable at the significance level (α) = 0.05 with dk = 70 is equal to 1.67. Based on the calculation results obtained that the t-count is greater than the table (73.674> 1.67), then it means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the working hypothesis (H1) is accepted. It can be stated that there is a positive influence on the use of the Inquiring Mind Want to Know Strategy on Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Grade 4 Elementary Students. Therefore, educators need to know the abilities and needs of students so that they can design activities that are appropriate and varied in social studies learning to be able to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students.
