Abstract

Biologi memegang peranan penting dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah global dan kompleks. Salah satu hal penting dalam pembelajaran adalah penguasaan konsep. Untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dapat digunakan sebuah media pembelajaran salah satunya adalah PowerPoint. PowerPoint memiliki berbagai fitur menarik seperti kemampuan pengolah teks, penyisipan gambar, audio, animasi, serta efek yang dapat disesuaikan dengan preferensi pengguna. Integrasi gamifikasi ke dalam PowerPoint dapat meningkatkan interaksi peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran PowerPoint (FaunaPlay) berbasis gamifikasi yang layak untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep materi keanekaragaman Felidae pada peserta didik Kelas X. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Educational Design Research (EDR) dengan menggunakan model Hannafin and Peck (1988). Analisis data dengan uji prasyarat analisis mencakup uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas serta uji efektivitas meliputi uji paired sample T test dan analisis normalized gain. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X dan guru Biologi di SMAN 21 Jakarta. Media pembelajaran FaunaPlay sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran serta efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik kelas X SMA pada materi keanekaragaman hayati (Felidae). One crucial aspect of learning is the mastery of concepts. To enhance conceptual understanding, learning media can be utilized, one of which is PowerPoint. PowerPoint offers various attractive features such as text processing capabilities, image insertion, audio, animations, and effects that can be customized according to user preferences. The integration of gamification into PowerPoint can enhance student interaction in the learning process. The aim of this research is to develop a PowerPoint-based learning media (FaunaPlay) with gamification that is feasible for improving conceptual understanding of the Felidae diversity material for 10th-grade students. The research method used in this study is Educational Design Research (EDR) with the Hannafin and Peck (1988) model. Data analysis includes prerequisite tests such as normality and homogeneity tests, as well as effectiveness tests including paired sample T-tests and normalized gain analysis. The subjects of this research are 10th-grade students and Biology teachers at SMAN 21 Jakarta. The FaunaPlay learning media is highly feasible to be used as a learning tool and effective in improving the conceptual understanding of 10th-grade students in high school on the topic of biodiversity, specifically the Felidae family.
