Abstract

ABSTRAK Ruang panel listrik merupakan area dengan potensi kebakaran Kelas C, yang berasal dari energi peralatan listrik aktif sebagaimana diklasifikasikan oleh NFPA 10. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem proteksi kebakaran yang dirancang sesuai standar keselamatan untuk mencegah kerugian material dan gangguan operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem proteksi kebakaran terintegrasi yang menggabungkan clean agent FK-5-1-12 dengan sistem alarm kebakaran, berdasarkan standar NFPA 72 dan NFPA 2001. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Research and Development (R&D), dengan tahapan meliputi analisis risiko kebakaran, perhitungan kebutuhan media pemadam, pemilihan dan penempatan nozzle, konfigurasi sistem deteksi, serta metode aktivasi pemadaman. Sistem dirancang menggunakan 95 kg FK-5-1-12 dalam tabung berkapasitas 142 liter, yang disalurkan melalui dua nozzle tipe 360° dalam konfigurasi single-zone total flooding. Sistem deteksi dilengkapi empat smoke heat detector photoelectric dengan konfigurasi cross-zone untuk meminimalisasi alarm palsu, dan aktivasi dilakukan secara otomatis, manual, serta pneumatik. Analisis hidraulik menunjukkan distribusi agent yang optimal dengan bilangan Reynolds sebesar 619.962,6 (aliran turbulen), faktor gesekan 0,0213976, dan total head loss 128,71334 m, yang menghasilkan penurunan tekanan sebesar 8,06 bar. Sistem yang dirancang diharapkan mampu memberikan perlindungan optimal terhadap kebakaran di ruang panel serta memastikan keselamatan operasional sesuai standar internasional. Kata Kunci: Fire Suppression, Panel Listrik, National Fire Protection Association 2001 ABSTRACT Electrical panel rooms are categorized as Class C fire-prone areas due to the presence of energized electrical equipment, as classified by NFPA 10. Therefore, a fire protection system that adheres to safety standards is essential to prevent material losses and operational disruptions. This study aims to design an integrated fire protection system that combines the use of FK-5-1-12 clean agent with a fire alarm system, based on the standards of NFPA 72 and NFPA 2001. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, encompassing fire risk analysis, agent quantity calculation, nozzle selection and placement, detection system configuration, and suppression activation methods. The system is designed to discharge 95 kg of FK-5-1-12 from a 142-liter cylinder through two 360° nozzles in a single-zone total flooding configuration. The detection system consists of four photoelectric smoke and heat detectors arranged in a cross-zone configuration to minimize false alarms, with activation mechanisms including automatic detection, manual release, and pneumatic actuator. Hydraulic analysis confirms optimal agent distribution, with a Reynolds number of 619.962,6 (indicating turbulent flow), a friction factor of 0,0213976, and a total head loss of 128.71334 meters, resulting in a pressure drop of 8.06 bar. The proposed system is expected to provide effective fire protection for electrical panel rooms while ensuring operational safety in compliance with international standards.
