Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan utama, pertama, untuk mendeskripsikan apa yang melatarbelakangi proses terbentuknya religiusitas warga binaan lapas. Kedua, untuk mendeskripsikan dampak dan faktor yang terjadi pada pembentukan religiusitas dari adanya program pembinaan di Lapas Kelas 1 Cipinang. Ketiga, untuk mendeskripsikan tantangan dalam menjalankan religiusitas selama warga binaan berada di lapas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode studi kasus. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 informan kunci warga binaan yang direkomenadisikan oleh lapas atas terbentuknya religiusitas. Kemudian dilengkapi 2 informan triangulasi yaitu 1 orang petugas lapas dan 1 orang petugas keagamaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang warga binaan Lapas Kelas 1 Cipinang dalam membentuk religiusitas adalah dengan aktif mengikuti program binaan, meliputi program keagamaan, kepribadian, pelatihan kerja, hobi, dan konseling. Diantara program binaan yang tersedia, para warga binaan mengaku bahwa program binaan keagamaan yang memiliki peran besar atas terbentuknya religiusitas mereka. Konstruksi Realitas Sosial warga binaan dipengaruhi pula oleh bagaimana interaksi mereka selama di lapas. Interaksi itulah yang menjadi salah satu penyebab terbentuknya religiusitas warga binaan Lapas Kelas 1 Cipinang. Dampak yang terjadi dari terbentuknya religiusitas warga binaan ialah dampak terhadap perilaku dan etika, dampak terhadap proses rehabilitasi dan reintegrasi sosial, serta dampak terhadap relasi sosial dan integrasi komunitas. Selain itu, terdapat pula faktor program binaan yang terstruktur dan dukungan sosial yang menjadi faktor pendukung dalam pembentukan religiusitas dan faktor kendala berupa hambatan psikologis dan lingkungan yang kurang kondusif dalam membentuk religiusitas para warga binaan. Selain faktor, terdapat tantangan religiusitas bagi warga binaan diantaranya lingkungan dan pergaulan di lapas, keterbatasan sarana prasarana, serta stigma dan perubahan identitas religius. ***** This study has three main objectives. First, to describe the background of the formation process of religiosity among inmates in the prison. Second to describe the impact and factors influencing the formation of religiosity through the rehabilitation programs at Lapas Kelas 1 Cipinang. Third, to describe the challenges in maintaining religiosity while inmates are incarcerated. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review. The research subjects consist of four key informants recommended by the facility for their development in religiosity. Additionally, two triangulation informants were included: one correctional officer and one religious staff member. The research findings indicate that the backgrounds of inmates at Lapas Kelas 1 Cipinang in shaping their religiosity involve actively participating in various rehabilitation programs, including religious programs, personality development, job training, hobbies, and counseling. Among the available programs, inmates acknowledge that religious rehabilitation programs play a significant role in their religiosity formation. The construction of social reality for inmates is also influenced by their interactions during their incarceration. These interactions are cited as a key factor in the development of religiosity among inmates at Lapas Kelas 1 Cipinang. The resulting impacts of religiosity formation include changes in behaviour and ethics, effects on the rehabilitation and social reintegration process, and impacts on social relationships and community integration. Additionally, structured rehabilitation programs and social support are identified as supportive factors in shaping religiosity, while psychological barriers and less conducive environmental conditions are noted as constraints in forming religiosity among inmates. In addition to various influencing factors, inmates face several challenges related to religiosity, including the prison environment and social interactions, limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as stigma and changes in religious identity.
