Abstract
Industri kecantikan menuntut tenaga kerja profesional yang memiliki keterampilan dalam perawatan wajah dan tubuh, salah satunya adalah profesi beauty therapist. Jurusan Tata Kecantikan Kulit di SMK Forward Nusantara dirancang untuk membekali siswa dengan kompetensi tersebut melalui pembelajaran facial dan body treatment. Namun, hasil observasi menunjukkan nilai rata-rata ujian praktik masih berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), meskipun ketertarikan siswa terhadap profesi beauty therapist cukup tinggi. Kondisi ini menimbulkan pertanyaan mengenai keterkaitan antara hasil belajar dengan minat menjadi beauty therapist. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan hasil belajar facial dan body treatment dengan minat menjadi beauty therapist pada siswa kelas X dan XI Tata Kecantikan Kulit SMK Forward Nusantara tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 37 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Data minat dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert, sedangkan hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai ujian praktik facial (kelas X) dan body massage (kelas XI). Analisis data menggunakan korelasi Spearman Rank dengan bantuan SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,372 > 0,05 dan koefisien korelasi -0,151, yang berarti tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar dengan minat menjadi beauty therapist. Arah korelasi negatif menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar tidak selalu diikuti oleh peningkatan minat, yang kemungkinan dipengaruhi faktor eksternal seperti lingkungan, media sosial, dan pengalaman pribadi. The Skin Beauty Department at SMK Forward Nusantara is designed to equip students with these competencies through facial and body treatment learning. However, observations show that the average practical exam scores remain below the minimum competency criteria (KKM), although students' interest in becoming beauty therapists is relatively high. This condition raises a question about the relationship between learning outcomes and interest in becoming beauty therapists. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning outcomes in facial and body treatment and interest in becoming beauty therapists among grade X and XI Skin Beauty students at SMK Forward Nusantara in the 2024/2025 academic year. The study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population consists of 37 students, selected using a total sampling technique. Interest data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, while learning outcomes were obtained from practical exam scores in facial treatment (grade X) and body massage (grade XI). Data were analyzed using Spearman’s Rank correlation with SPSS version 22. The results show a significance value of 0.372 > 0.05 and a correlation coefficient of -0.151, indicating no significant relationship between learning outcomes and interest in becoming beauty therapists. The negative correlation suggests that an increase in learning outcomes does not necessarily correspond with increased interest, likely influenced by external factors such as environment, social media, and personal experience.
