Abstract
Sekolah adat di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan kompleks akibat modernisasi, industrialisasi, dan marginalisasi sistemik yang mengancam keberlanjutan pengetahuan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dinamika manajemen pendidikan dan mengonstruksi model konseptual pengelolaannya melalui studi kasus tunggal di Sekolah Adat Kampoeng Batara, Banyuwangi, sebagai model pendidikan berbasis komunitas adat yang berhasil mengintegrasikan pelestarian budaya dengan pemberdayaan sosioekonomi. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, analisis dokumen, dan diskusi kelompok terarah, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik-interpretatif. Temuan utama mengungkap bahwa perencanaan manajerial berakar kuat pada musyawarah komunitas, melahirkan kurikulum kontekstual yang memadukan pendidikan karakter berbasis rasa, seni tradisional, dan literasi digital. Struktur pengorganisasian menunjukkan tata kelola yang desentralistik dan pengelolaan pembiayaan yang transparan, dengan sekolah berfungsi sebagai pusat distribusi kerajinan, yang secara signifikan meningkatkan pendapatan pengrajin lokal. Mekanisme pengawasan melibatkan refleksi kolektif dan pemantauan internal komunitas, memastikan keselarasan praktik dengan nilai adat dan keberlanjutan program. Studi ini mengonstruksi kerangka kerja manajemen unik yang disebut Model Manajemen BATARA, berdasarkan prinsip budaya, alam, pertumbuhan, inklusivitas, dan afiliasi, merepresentasikan hibridisasi kearifan lokal dengan praktik modern tanpa mengikis nilai ritual. Penelitian ini meredefinisi konsep pendidikan berbasis komunitas dengan menekankan kepemimpinan desentralisasi dan adaptasi kurikulum yang responsif terhadap disrupsi eksternal. Kontribusinya mencakup model manajemen inovatif untuk pendidikan adat dan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk ketahanan budaya melalui pembelajaran transgenerasional, memposisikan sekolah adat sebagai katalisator pembangunan berkelanjutan. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of education management and construct a conceptual model of its management through a single case study at the Kampoeng Batara Traditional School, Banyuwangi, as an education model based on indigenous communities that successfully integrates cultural preservation with socio economic empowerment. A qualitative approach was used in this study, with data collected through observation, in depth interviews, document analysis, and focus group discussions, then analyzed thematically interpretively. Key findings reveal that managerial planning is deeply rooted in community deliberation, giving birth to a contextual curriculum that combines race based character education, traditional arts, and digital literacy. The organizing structure shows decentralized governance and transparent financing management, with the school serving as a handicraft distribution center, which significantly increases the income of local artisans. The monitoring mechanism involves collective reflection and internal monitoring of the community, ensuring the alignment of practices with customary values and the sustainability of the program. This study constructs a unique management framework called the BATARA Management Model, based on the principles of culture, nature, growth, inclusivity, and affiliation, representing the hybridization of local wisdom with modern practices without eroding ritual values. This research redefines the concept of community-based education by emphasizing decentralized leadership and curriculum adaptation that is responsive to external disruptions. Her contributions include innovative management models for indigenous education and policy recommendations for cultural resilience through transgenerational learning, positioning indigenous schools as catalysts for sustainable development.
