Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis, jumlah, kondisi, serta tingkat kesesuaian peralatan praktikum di Workshop Kayu Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) dan SMK Negeri 1 Jakarta. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif evaluatif, penelitian dilakukan melalui metode observasi langsung, wawancara terstruktur, serta dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk memperoleh gambaran objektif mengenai kondisi aktual sarana praktikum yang tersedia di kedua institusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peralatan di kedua workshop berada dalam kondisi layak pakai dan dapat menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran praktik. Namun demikian, ditemukan pula sejumlah peralatan yang memerlukan perawatan intensif agar dapat berfungsi secara optimal. Di UNJ, peralatan yang tersedia umumnya memiliki tingkat presisi yang tinggi dan mendukung pelaksanaan eksperimen serta pengembangan inovasi mahasiswa. Meskipun begitu, beberapa alat mengalami penurunan performa akibat kurangnya pemeliharaan rutin. Sementara itu, SMK Negeri 1 Jakarta memiliki peralatan dalam kondisi fungsional dan lebih relevan dengan penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka, terutama dalam menunjang penguasaan kompetensi dasar hingga menengah bagi siswa. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi adanya kesenjangan dalam hal kelengkapan, kualitas, dan kecanggihan peralatan antara kedua institusi. Sebagai rekomendasi, disarankan adanya pengadaan alat-alat modern tambahan di UNJ, peningkatan sistem perawatan berkala di kedua institusi, serta implementasi sistem inventarisasi digital untuk pengelolaan aset yang lebih efektif dan efisien. ***** This study aims to identify the types, quantities, conditions, and suitability of practicum equipment at the Wood Workshop of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) and SMK Negeri 1 Jakarta. Using a descriptive-evaluative approach, the research was conducted through direct observation, structured interviews, and documentation techniques. This approach enabled the researchers to obtain an objective overview of the actual state of practical learning facilities in both institutions. The results of the study indicate that most of the equipment in both workshops is in serviceable condition and supports the implementation of practical learning activities. However, several tools were found to require intensive maintenance to ensure optimal performance. At UNJ, the available equipment generally features high precision, supporting experiments and student innovation development. Nevertheless, some tools have shown a decline in performance due to insufficient routine maintenance. In contrast, SMK Negeri 1 Jakarta possesses functional equipment that is more aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in supporting students' mastery of basic to intermediate competencies. The study also revealed a disparity in the completeness, quality, and technological advancement of the equipment between the two institutions. As a recommendation, it is necessary to procure additional modern equipment for UNJ, improve routine maintenance systems in both institutions, and implement a digital inventory system to achieve more effective and efficient asset management.
