Abstract
Dukungan orang tua merupakan salah satu faktor eksternal penting bagi siswa da-lam mempersiapkan diri memasuki dunia kerja, khususnya di industri perhotelan yang kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan dari Career-Related Parent Support dan Work Readiness Siswa SMK Bidang Keahlian dan Konsentrasi Keahlian Perhotelan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 38 Jakarta dengan populasi pada penelitian ini siswa kelas XI berjumlah 71 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dil-akukan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis statistik yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara Career-Related Parent Support dengan Work Readi-ness. Nilai koefisien korelasi (r) diperoleh sebesar 0,643, dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Artinya, hubungan antara kedua variabel memiliki keeratan dengan kategori kuat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dukungan orang tua dalam aspek pengembangan karier, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua berperan penting dalam membantu siswa menghadapi dunia kerja. Peningkatan dukungan keluarga perlu digalakkan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa sebagai salah satu sumber daya manusia bangsa. ***** Parental support is one of the important external factors for students in preparing themselves to enter the workforce, particularly in the competitive hospitality industry. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Career-Related Parent Support and Work Readiness of vocational high school students in the Hospitality Expertise Field and Competency. This research is a quantitative study. The study was conducted at SMKN 38 Jakarta with a population consisting of 71 eleventh-grade students. The sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires. The statistical analysis used to test the hypothesis was the correlation test. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between Career-Related Parent Support and Work Readiness. The correlation coefficient (r) was found to be 0.643, with a significance value of 0.000. This means that the relationship between the two variables falls into the strong category. This indicates that the higher the parental support in career development aspects, the higher the students' work readiness level. These findings show that parental involvement plays an important role in helping students face the world of work. Increasing family support needs to be encouraged to improve students’ work readiness as one of the nation's human resources.
