Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi dan minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran konsep ikatan kimia menggunakan strategi gamifikasi melalui permainan escape room. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA di Jakarta Timur pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan subjek sebanyak 36 siswa kelas X-C. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, angket, wawancara, dan reflektif jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki persepsi baik sekali dan menunjukkan minat sangat tinggi terhadap penerapan escape room dalam pembelajaran kimia. Siswa merasa lebih tertarik, termotivasi, dan aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Strategi gamifikasi melalui permainan escape room juga membantu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep ikatan kimia. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, escape room dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan keterlibatan siswa pada materi kimia.*****This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions and interest in learning the concept of chemical bonding using a gamification strategy through an escape room game. The research was conducted at a senior high school in East Jakarta during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, involving 36 students from class X-C. A qualitative method was used with data collection techniques including observation, questionnaires, interviews, and reflective journals. The results showed that most students had very good perceptions and showed very high interest in the implementation of escape room games in chemistry learning. Students felt more interested, motivated, and actively involved during the learning process. The gamification strategy through the escape room game also helped improve students’ understanding of chemical bonding concepts. Based on these findings, the use of escape room games can be an enjoyable and effective alternative learning strategy to increase students’ interest in chemistry.
