Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap kecemasan masa depan pada warga binaan pemasyarakatan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIA Salemba. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling dalam pengambilan sampel. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 118 warga binaan pemasyarakatan dengan kriteria berusia 18-29 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) oleh Ralf Schwarzer dan Matthias Jerusalem yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Novrianto et al. dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,932 dan Future Anxiety Scale (FAS) oleh Zbigniew Zaleski dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,893. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,262 (p > 0,05), yang berarti hipotesis nol (Ho) diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap kecemasan masa depan pada warga binaan pemasyarakatan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIA Salemba. Meskipun tidak ditemukan pengaruh yang signifikan secara statistik, arah hubungan yang negatif dan konsistensi pola nilai koefisien tetap menunjukkan kecenderungan bahwa self-efficacy dapat berperan terhadap kecemasan masa depan, walaupun efeknya lemah dan tidak konsisten pada konteks warga binaan pemasyarakatan. Dengan demikian, self-efficacy bukan faktor utama yang memengaruhi kecemasan masa depan dalam konteks warga binaan pemasyarakatan. ***** This study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy on future anxiety among correctional inmates at Class IIA Salemba Correctional Facility. The research employed a quantitative approach with purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The sample consisted of 118 correctional inmates aged between 18 and 29 years. The instruments used in this study were the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) developed by Ralf Schwarzer and Matthias Jerusalem, adapted into Indonesian by Novrianto et al., with a reliability coefficient of 0.932, and the Future Anxiety Scale (FAS) developed by Zbigniew Zaleski, with a reliability coefficient of 0.893. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The analysis showed a significance value of 0.262 (p > 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted. The results suggest that self-efficacy does not significantly influence future anxiety among correctional inmates at Class IIA Salemba Correctional Facility. Although no statistically significant effect was found, the negative direction of the relationship and consistent regression coefficient patterns indicate a tendency for self-efficacy to play a role in reducing future anxiety, albeit weakly and inconsistently within the context of correctional inmates. Therefore, self-efficacy is not the main factor influencing future anxiety in this setting.
