Abstract
**** This study aims to determine the role of resilience in mediating the effect of self-authenticity on stress among university students. Students face various responsibilities that can lead to stress, including academic demands, organizational involvement, and part-time jobs. In such demanding contexts, stress can disrupt students’ well-being. Therefore, it is important to examine protective factors such as self-authenticity and resilience. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The sample consisted of 264 undergraduate students aged 18–24 years, selected through convenience sampling. Instruments used were the Authenticity Scale (Wood et al., 200810-Item Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) (Sills & Stein, 2007), and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) (Cohen et al., 1983). Data were analyzed using path analysis to observe both direct and indirect effects. Results indicated that self-authenticity significantly affected stress directly, while resilience partially mediated this relationship. In other words, students with high self-authenticity tend to experience lower levels of stress, either directly or through enhanced resilience. This study concludes that fostering self-authenticity and resilience is essential for preventing stress among students.
