Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran persepsi mobilitas ekonomi dalam memoderasi pengaruh refleksi kognitif terhadap diskonto waktu pada masyarakat miskin perkotaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu Monetary Choice Questionnaires, Verbal Cognitive Reflection Test, dan Perceived Economic Mobility Scale. Populasi pada penelitian ini merupakan masyarakat miskin perkotaan yang direpresentasikan oleh para pekerja informal di Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Non-Probability Purposive Sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 200 responden. Karakteristik sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah laki-laki maupun perempuan berada dalam usia produktif, memiliki keluarga dengan penghasilan utama dari pekerjaan informal, dan pendapatan perbulan kurang dari Upah Minimum Provinsi (UMP) DKI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh refleksi kognitif terhadap diskonto waktu serta tidak terdapat peran persepsi mobilitas ekonomi dalam memoderasi hubungan refleksi kognitif dan diskonto waktu. ***** This study aims to examine the moderating role of perceived economic mobility in the relationship between cognitive reflection and time discounting among the urban poor. This study used a quantitative approach, the data collected through questionnaires. The instruments used in this study including Monetary Choice Questionnaires, Verbal Cognitive Reflection Test, dan Perceived Economic Mobility Scale. This study focus on urban poor, represented by informal sector worker in Jakarta. The sampling technique used was Non-Probability Purposive Sampling, with total 200 of respondents. The sample characteristics include both males and females in the productive ages, have primary source income from informal sector and under the minimum wage standard of Jakarta. The result showed that the cognitive reflection did not influence the time discounting. Also, perceived economic mobility did not moderate the relationship between cognitive reflection and time discounting in urban poor.
