Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah hubungan orang tua dan anak yang didalamnya terdapat penghormatan terhadap ayah dan ibu, tanggung jawab terhadap ayah dan ibu, dan kontrol dari ayah dapat mempengaruhi kontrol diri pelaku kekerasan dalam hubungan berpacaran pada emerging adult yang berpacaran di Jabodetabek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-probabilitas dengan jenis purposive sampling. Penelitian ini melibatkan 97 individu emerging adult yang memiliki orangtua atau wali dan sedang menjalin hubungan berpacaran di Jabodetabek. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji regresi linear sederhana yang dijalankan menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 25. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu, Brief Self Control Scale (BSCS) untuk mengukur kontrol diri, Parent-Adult Child Relationship Questionnaire (PACQ) untuk mengukur hubungan orang tua-anak dan Multidimensional Scale of Dating Violence 2.0 (MSDV 2.0) untuk menyeleksi pelaku kekerasan dalam berpacaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dimensi penghormatan pada ayah dan ibu, tanggung jawab terhadap ayah, dan kontrol dari ayah memiliki pengaruh terhadap kontrol diri pelaku kekerasan dalam berpacaran. Sedangkan tanggung jawab terhadap ibu tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kontrol diri pelaku kekerasan dalam berpacaran. Kata kunci: hubungan orang tua-anak, kontrol diri, emerging adult, pelaku kekerasan dalam berpacaran. ***** The main objective of this study is to determine whether the parent-child relationship, which includes respect for the father and mother, responsibility towards the father and mother, and control from the father, can influence the self-control of perpetrators of violence in dating relationships among emerging adults who are dating in Jabodetabek area. The research method used in this study is quantitative research. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. This study involves 97 emerging adults who have parents or guardians and are currently in dating relationships in the Jabodetabek area. The analysis technique used in this study is simple linear regression analysis conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. The measurement tools used in this study are the Brief Self Control Scale (BSCS) to measure self-control, the Parent-Adult Child Relationship Questionnaire (PACQ) to measure parent-child relationships, and the Multidimensional Scale of Dating Violence 2.0 (MSDV 2.0) to screening perpetrators of dating violence. The results of this study indicate that the dimensions of regard for father and mother, responsibility toward father, and control from father have an influence on the self-control of perpetrators of dating violence. Meanwhile, responsibility toward mother does not have an influence on the self-control of perpetrators of dating violence.
