Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi apakah terdapat peran consideration of future consequences dapat memoderasi pengaruh antara refleksi kognitif terhadap diskonto waktu pada masyarakat miskin yang tinggal di wilayah perkotaan. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Monetary Choice Questionnaires, Verbal Cognitive Reflection Test, dan Consideration of Future Consequences 14-Scale. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat miskin perkotaan, yang direpresentasikan oleh pekerja sektor informal di kota. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Non-Probability Purposive Sampling, dengan total responden sebanyak 200 orang. Kriteria responden mencakup pria dan wanita yang berada dalam usia produktif serta memiliki sumber penghasilan utama di sektor informal dengan penghasilan di bawah Upah Minimum Provinsi (UMP) Jakarta. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat peran consideration of future consequences dalam memoderasi pengaruh antara refleksi kognitif terhadap diskonto waktu. Kata kunci: diskonto waktu, refleksi kognitif, consideration of future consequences, masyarakat miskin perkotaan. **** This study aims to explore whether the consideration of future consequences plays a moderating role in the relationship between cognitive reflection and time discounting among impoverished individuals living in urban areas. The study employed a quantitative method, with data collected through the distribution of questionnaires. The instruments used included the Monetary Choice Questionnaire, the Verbal Cognitive Reflection Test, and the Consideration of Future Consequences 14-Scale. The research population consisted of the urban poor, represented by informal sector workers in the city. The sampling technique used was Non-Probability Purposive Sampling, with a total of 200 respondents. Respondent criteria included men and women of productive age who had a primary income source in the informal sector and earned below the Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). The findings of the study indicate that the consideration of future consequences does not play a moderating role in the relationship between cognitive reflection and time discounting.
