Abstract

Sikap terhadap pernikahan (attitude toward marriage) adalah cara individu memandang, merasakan, dan menilai institusi pernikahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran sikap terhadap pernikahan pada dewasa awal yang orang tuanya bercerai. Penelitian ini melibatkan lima partisipan berusia 20-30 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan snowball sampling. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) dan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap terhadap pernikahan pada dewasa awal yang orang tuanya bercerai terbentuk melalui proses kognitif, afektif, dan konatif. Melalui ketiga proses pembentukan sikap, muncul dua kecenderungan sikap, yaitu sikap negatif dan sikap positif terhadap pernikahan. Sikap negatif terhadap pernikahan dipengaruhi oleh ketidakhadiran dan ketidakpedulian orang tua terutama dari figur ayah, ketakutan terhadap pernikahan karena pengalaman masa lalu orang tua maupun pasangan, serta pengaruh lingkungan dan media sosial yang menormalisasi hidup tanpa pernikahan. Sementara itu, sikap positif terhadap pernikahan dipengaruhi oleh keterlibatan orang tua terhadap anak pasca perceraian, pengalaman pernikahan orang tua sebagai pembelajaran di masa depan, serta pengaruh lingkungan dan media sosial dalam membentuk pandangan terhadap pernikahan. This study aims to determine the description of attitudes towards marriage in early adults whose parents are divorced. This study involved five participants aged 20-30 years who were selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The approach used was qualitative with the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method and data collection through semi-structured interviews. The results showed that attitudes towards marriage in early adults whose parents divorced were formed through cognitive, affective, and conative processes. Through the three processes of attitude formation, two attitude trends emerged, namely negative attitudes and positive attitudes towards marriage. Negative attitudes towards marriage are influenced by the absence and indifference of parents, especially from the father figure, fear of marriage due to past experiences of parents and spouses, and the influence of the environment and social media that normalize life without marriage. Meanwhile, positive attitudes towards marriage are influenced by parental involvement with children after divorce, parents marriage experiences as future learning, and the influence of the environment and social media in shaping views on marriage.
