Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh self-control dengan bedtime procrastination pada mahasiswa. Bedtime procrastination adalah perilaku menunda waktu tidur secara sadar tanpa ada faktor eksternal yang menghalangi. Hal ini banyak dilakukan oleh mahasiswa serta dapat berdampak pada kesehatan tubuh. Self-control merupakan faktor penting dalam mengendalikan perilaku individu, sejalan dengan pengendalian diri dalam mengatur waktu tidur. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel mahasiswa aktif S1 dan D4 dengan jumlah 331 mahasiwa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Bedtime Procrastination Scale (Kroese, 2016) dan Brief Self-Control Scale (De Ridder & De Wit, 2006). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-control memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap bedtime procrastination. Artinya, semakin rendah self-control yang dimiliki mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi bedtime procrastination. Penelitian ini memiliki kesimpulan bahwa perlunya peningkatan self-control yang dimiliki setiap mahasiswa untuk meminimalisir dalam melakukan bedtime procrastination ***** This study aims to determine whether there is a effect between self-control and bedtime procrastination in students collage. Bedtime procrastination is the behavior of consciously delaying bedtime without any external factors that hinder it. This is often done by students and can have an impact on body health. Self-control is an important factor in controlling individual behavior, in line with self-control in regulating bedtime. This study used a sample of active S1 and D4 students with a total of 331 students. The instruments used were the Bedtime Procrastination Scale (Kroese, 2016) and the Brief Self-Control Scale (De Ridder & De Wit, 2006). The results of the study showed that self-control has a negative relationship with bedtime procrastination. This means that the lower the self-control of students, the higher the bedtime procrastination. This study concludes that it is necessary to increase the self-control of each student to minimize bedtime procrastination
